SPRING RETREAT FAQ
+ Who is leading the Spring Retreat?
Our youth pastors Alex and Bree Kruse will be leading the weekend, along with their team of EVERY YOUTH Owners. These trusted leaders from our community have completed background checks and have been trained and approved by our staff.
+ What is Castaway Camp?
Castaway is a camp operated by Young Life in Detroit Lakes, MN. Read more about their campus here!
+ What does my registration fee cover?
The $150 registration fee includes travel, lodging, a Spring Retreat journal, meals/snacks, and all games/activities for the weekend!
+ Are scholarships or financial assistance available?
It is our desire that all students who want to attend the retreat are able to. Please reach out to Pastor Alex via email at youth@everydaympls.com if you would like to learn more about recieving financial assistance.
+ How will my student get to the retreat?
Bus transporation to and from the retreat will be provided for students! Drop off and pick up will be at the EVERYDAY building (2420 Cleveland Ave N, Roseville).
+ What time should I drop off my student at the EVERYDAY building?
Students should arrive at 1:00 PM and will transfer their luggage onto the bus. Once arriving at Castaway Camp, students will eat dinner!
+ What time should I pick up my student at the EVERYDAY building on Sunday?
Students should be picked up at 5:00 PM on Sunday afternoon at the EVERYDAY building.
+ Can my student bring a cell phone?
Students are able to be bring their cell phones to communicate with parents and to take photos/videos. We will have times where we will ask that phones be put away so that students are able to fully engage without distraction.
+ What are the sleeping arrangements at the retreat?
There will be seperate cabin arrangements for male and female students. Throughout the weekend, students will always be under the visibility and supervision of two adult leaders, with one leader providing "night watch" during sleeping hours.
+ What does my student need to bring to the retreat?

+ My student has special dietary needs - what should I do?
We will do our best to accomodate any special dietary needs, so please indicate any food allergies on your student's registration form!
If your student has special dietary needs, our team will connect with you in preparation for the retreat.
+ My student takes medication - what should I do with them? How will my student receive medication on the retreat?
Please indicate any medications your student takes on their registration form, and feel free to reach out to us with any instructions. Our team will be mindful of any medication needs and ensure your student receives what they need throughout the weekend.
+ What happens if my student gets sick or is injured while at the retreat?
Our team is committed to excellence and safety. Members of our team are trained in First Aid and CPR. Our team may administer over-the-counter medication and prescribed medication as guided by the information provided in the student’s registration. In the event of an extended illness or injury, parents will be notified immediately.
+ What will my student be doing at the Spring Retreat?
